ICE Breakers — Responder Roundtable
NE MN
- When:
- Monday, January 26, 6:00–8:00pm
- Where:
- Online — Register for link on Zoom
We will share regional strategies, tools, and lessons which will inspire and equip us for collective action to defend our communities.
The Federal Government is sending thousands more ICE and other “Homeland Security” agents into Minnesota. In response, Minnesotans are coming together across race, class, geography and background to protect one another from Federal policies that tear families apart, sow fear and division, weaken our communities, erode democratic participation, and put all of us at risk for increased political violence.
In this online gathering we’ll hear stories from community leaders, legal defense experts, and neighborhood activists about their experiences in the Twin Cities and the Twin Ports with I.C.E. raids and rapid response.
Organizers from the Immigrant Defense Network (IDN) will also be sharing about their upcoming ‘Brave of Us’ midwest tour that will include in-person learning opportunities in Aitkin, Brainerd, Duluth, Grand Rapids, and other places across our region.
Upcoming events
ICE Out of Minnesota!
No Work. No School. No Shopping.
Minnesotans are coming together in moral reflection and action to stand together against the actions of the federal government against the state of Minnesota. The ICE “surge” that cost the life of Renee Nicole Good is violating the Constitutional and human rights of Americans and our neighbors. It is time to suspend the normal order of business to demand immediate cessation of ICE actions in MN, accountability for federal agents who have caused loss of life and abuse to Minnesota residents and call for Congress to immediately intervene.
